Members' Evening of Short Talks
Wednesday 17 January 2018
Organiser: Hugh Dixon
As an experimental alternative to a full lecture, this evening was devoted to short talks, giving members an opportunity to address favourite subjects, share enthusiasms, outline early research or simply fly architectural-historical kites.
Ian Wells and John Penn talked about architects William Glover and Frank Rich respectively, while Richard Pears discussed the Duke of Northumberland's architectural patronage. Finally, Hugh Dixon (standing in at short notice after another contributor was indisposed) talked about Bockenfield Hall, near Felton in Northumberland.
