Guided tour of Redhills
Durham Miners' Association Headquarters
Saturday 30th May 2026

Redhills opened in 1915 as the headquarters of the Durham Miners' Association, replacing the earlier Miners' Hall on North Road, Durham. Redhills reopened in 2025 after a major restoration of its historic features. The guided tour (1.5 hours) includes a short film with commentary by Alun Armstrong about the importance of Durham coal in building the modern world, the Pitmen's Parliament and committee rooms. There will be refreshments after the tour.
