Edinburgh based Simpson and Brown are a firm of conservation architects who do a great deal of work in the North East of England. John updated us on their most recent projects in the locality; a broad range of religious and secular work.
John, a partner of the practice, was trained as a painter at the Central School of Art & Design in London. In his student days he was employed as an assistant at the Charlewood Curry Partnership, Newcastle. He specialises in the repair and restoration of churches. He was recently involved in the construction of a new chapel 'in the Scottish style' in Canada.
