Wednesday 7th February 2024, 7.00 for 7.30 pm
Prof. Ruth Dalton
Ruth is a Professor of Architecture at Northumbria University, and a world-leading authority on the overlap between architecture and spatial cognition.
This talk presented a rich and rewarding history of houses in England through the stories of nine houses, dating from the 1600s to the 1980s, in which the speaker has lived.
Ruth reflected on her own experience of each house, and examine its historical context, before making an analysis of each building's design and layout.
